There are many different ways to achieve this. For example, states can use the opportunities presented with modern technology. This is what Estonia has done in the case of the ePolice project.
Most police cars have been equipped with a computer, Internet access and devices which send the information about the police car to the central communications centre.
Using a computer and the Internet, police officers can access the police information system which itself is connected to xRoad. Thanks to this the police can quickly connect to any of the information systems on xRoad.

Information systems used by the police:
• Car Registry Centre
• Traffic Insurance Fond
• Population Register
• Health Insurance
• Land Register
• Offenders register
• Confinement Register
• Weapons Register
